What is Radiesse®?
RADIESSE® and RADIESSE® (+) Injectable Implants are FDA-approved for subdermal implantation for the correction of moderate to severe facial wrinkles and folds, such as nasolabial folds. Radiesse (+) injectable implant is indicated for deep injection (subdermal and/or supraperiosteal) for soft tissue augmentation to improve moderate to severe loss of jawline contour.
How does Radiesse® work?
Radiesse® is made of Calcium Hydroxyapatite (CaHA) microspheres that are suspended in an aqueous gel. Once injected, RADIESSE provides immediate volume and correction but continues to work by stimulating the body to produce it’s own natural collagen. *
Over time, Radiesse® is absorbed into surrounding tissues and the body metabolizes the Calcium Hydroxyapatite microspheres, leaving behind your own natural collagen.
