Are the foods permitted on the hCG protocol deterring you from considering or continuing the hCG diet? During your time on the hCG diet, you may find it helpful to plan and prep your meals. The staff at Skinny Me is always available to help with your meal planning. Please remember we will provide you access to our exclusive patient portal, where you can obtain food lists, dining out guides, sample menus and even recipes. Skinny Me also offers a cookbook at an additional charge – having a good hCG diet recipe book will help you learn how to work with the foods on your food list and learn to cook using healthier options.
It would be very helpful if you could set aside one day a week to meal prep for the week. We recommend separating meals into individual portions into Tupperware or freezer bags so that you have them available for lunch and dinner every day. This is also a great time saver. This helps you to avoid cooking separate meals for you and others for whom you may be cooking and it takes away some of the stress of deciding what you will have ready to eat. One helpful product you can use in planning and prepping hCG diet meals is a George Foreman Grill, in which meat cooks quickly and discards additional oils. In addition, parchment paper is helpful to quickly sear meats in a pan, without having to deal with a mess afterwards. Making large batches of foods, such as soups, sauces and one-dish recipes helps you to keep variety in your diet.
When cooking your hCG foods, always make sure you have all of the ingredients before getting started. It is always best to make your own spice blends, since you will have control over the sodium content and will be able to ensure there is no sugar in the mix. You will also need to purchase different spices, which will help you make your food taste interesting and less bland – so make sure to stock up! Some of the best spices to get include garlic, paprika, cinnamon, onion powder, cilantro, and curry. If you like Worcestershire sauce, you can purchase a sugar free version.
The first few days during the hCG diet are usually the most difficult; but you will soon find that you may actually feel better than you did before starting the diet. Taking the time to cook and plan your meals is very important for your success while on the hCG diet. YOU CAN DO IT and we are here to help!!
